The way of all flesh

This project begins as an exploration into the sexual lives of individuals in my close social circle. using fake names and vague descriptions to conceal the identity of the participants this project attempts to highlight and provide a tangible view to the intricacies of each invisible history. the result is a string and cardboard depiction of their sexual connections.

The vaguely defined notions of Sex expressed by each individuals “lists” also relay discrepancies in the web’s pattern. Such discrepancies highlighted with red thread, suggest the complexities of Sex itself. Prompted with the question, “What does sex mean to you?” participants answer this question with one word which plays on a looped cassette.
