Sundown at Matchpoint: A monument to Structured Leisure is the documentation of a ceremony that took place outside the master-planned community “The Legacy Village (Wigwam & Green Valley Pkwy)”, featuring the iconic bronze statues of two male figures taking a stroll equipped with Tennis gear. Through the recontextualization of “Sundown,” GULCH Collective dusted off old sporting equipment and presented the objects as offerings at the base of the statues in order to direct attention to the privilege of having the means to participate in exclusive recreational activities.
